12, 2005) – With their very first product, this innovative little
company is already winning awards.
The first
product produced by Blue Bucket Games, LLC, the Healthy Habits Preschool Game,
has been selected as one of the "100 Best Children's Products of 2005".
The award program was developed by noted child development authority,
Stevanne Auerbach, Ph.D (a.k.a. Dr. Toy) as a service to consumers who
desire to purchase safe, affordable, educationally oriented and
stimulating toys and products for children.
Blue Bucket Games brings a novel approach to the educational game marketplace.
For years,
Kathleen Zang, a veteran preschool teacher, has been playing this game
that she created in her classroom. With a normal attention span being 3
to 5 minutes per year of a child's age, parents and teachers of
preschool children are challenged on a daily basis to captivate the
attention of their young audience. With the Healthy Habits Preschool
Game, the children are the game pieces and move around the "game board"
as the game progresses. The large game cards can be set up around the
room in any pattern - winding around the room, under tables, in and out
of doors. Over the years the children have loved playing the game so
much that in early 2005 she decided to start her own educational game
company.
"Children learn best through play," says Dr Auerbach, "and these smart
products encourage children to maximize their potentials". Each product
is reviewed using extensive criteria she has developed over the years
including: safety, age-appropriateness, design, durability, lasting play
value, cultural and ethnic diversity, educational value, learning

In addition to the "100 Best Products of 2005" award, the Healthy Habits
Preschool Game also earned a place in their "10 Best Active Toys for
2005". On the evaluation, Dr. Toy noted "This
